We set out in March 2010 to reflect life in the Party and the Independence movement. Please show the magazine to your friends and relatives. We need to keep growing our membership because the magazine presents a very real opportunity to raise serious funds for the Party – but we can only do this with your help. The biggest issue we seem to face is that, as one east coast applicant said: ‘If I’d known it was like this, I’d have joined immediately, but I thought it would be heavy reading.’ He also alluded to the thought that we might be connected with other publications. We’re not.


The Editor Jack Paterson a SNP member since the age of 15 when he joined the old Paisley West Branch interviewed Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.


David McEwan Hill organiser of Argyll and Bute CA and who joined the party in 1959 at the old HQ in Elmbank Street. A member of Winnie’s winning team at the Hamilton by-election in 1967 and her agent in 1969/70, also contributed to the first ever issue and was soon to be a regular.
